School

I have decided to go back to school, starting in the summer. With my recent quest for a full-time job, I realized that surviving in this day's economy and job market is increasingly difficult without a degree. Yes, my parents told me that, but I think it really took for me to figure that out myself. My plan is to go to NACC and get my Associate's in History and then move on from there. I realized that history is the only subject I like besides music, French, and art.

Ambrosia: the Food of the Gods

1 container sour cream
small can mandarin oranges
medium can pineapple
1 bag mini marshmallows
shredded coconut

Drain the juice from the mandarin oranges and pineapple. Add the mini marshmallows, coconut, and sour cream. Stir and chill. Enjoy! :)

Jobs...?

In this economy, I must admit that jobs are hard to come by these days. I couldn't afford to complete my college degree, and I feel like I am competing with doctors and people with MBA's to get entry level positions. There are people that work at Kmart with me who have Masters Degrees but are struggling to find a place of employment. The over qualification of many people on the workforce seems to be hurting those who cannot afford to be educated. What a catch-22.

Shelby <3

Today I would like to honor my beautiful boxer, Shelby. She has helped me through some really difficult times (depression, death in the family, cancer). Little does she know that just the wag of her little stubby tail can make my whole day better.

Shelby when we first got her- 6 weeks old (2002).
